So here is our first post on the new mooradian weekly cycling blog. So much has happened since the beginning of the year that has been blog worthy, but it took us forever to get our site going with all the busy day to day life stuff and everything. We will try and post some pics of Aleksandra's training trip to Calpe, Spain in the next few days.
Since we decided to start our own husband and wife team (K.Bedford/Spin/Verge team) its been a real learning experience dealing with the industry and people related to the cycling world. Everyone has been super to deal with so far and hopefully that will be a good indication of the season to come with it starting in 2 weeks. Fontana California that is where us east coasters go to suffer against the west coasters who seem to be blazing fast this time of year.
Getting back to the bicycle industry and our sponsors. We have alot to say about the people who have helped us out for 2010 but for this first post I just want to tell everyone about our experience last night in New Windsor, New York. This was our meeting with Verge cycling apparel company. The folks there invited Aleksandra and I down to show us the product, try some stuff on and get to know everyone. From the minute we walked in we felt right at home. Everyone there gives you there undivided attention and makes you feel like youve known them forever. The products are handmade in there factory in Poland and it is evident that there heart goes into everything they manufacture right down to underlayers and socks. So after seeing all the products, meeting everyone, and learning how some of its made I am so proud to be wearing the Verge products this year. You will be hearing alot about Verge on this blog this year because we are going to talk about it and it is going to be on the podium quite a bit. HaHa
So to top it off they took us out to dinner to a great restaurant in upscale Cornwall NY wined and dined us like we were one of them and very nicely escorted us back to the thruway. Great experience and thank you so much Mike, Kurt, Karolina and the whole crew. We will be back very soon to ride with you guys.
See you on the trails!
