Mike and Aleksandra Mooradian         We ride bikes.

I'm trying to be positive here but another snowy weekend has meant another very difficult training weekend.  Weekends are my favorite days to train because I can ride with Mike and its so nice to have someone to go out and explore with. We set out on saturday with big aspirations of making out to Sacandaga lake and do a 4 + hour ride  We made it to Corinth and a nice snowstorm set in.  Anticipating what may be a nightmare on 2 wheels I decided to head home for a nightmare in the basement with the rollers.  Mike decided to stay out and do a loop over on west river rd.  The snow started really falling and then turned to freezing rain.  Mike finished outside in miserable conditions and I finished up with a rerun of the TDF 2003.  All in all it was an ok day with us both getting in some decent training.  Sunday was a much nicer day with the sun actually shining and some of the snow melting.

I had a great time cross country skiing with my favorite partner - Mabel (our dog) today. She is the best trail dog and I can't wait to go mtb riding with her again. She just makes me laugh every time we go. Nobody is ever more excited being in the woods then Mabe's. So there are some pics of her.

Well, the weather hasn't been the best for cyclists in our area  but when I get discouraged I look forward to spring with our trails and community we live in. I just found the nicest place for groceries, Willow Marsh Farm, with  fresh eggs, meat, raw milk and seasonal vegetables. I was amazed not only by the products they sell but also by the way they run their store. There is nobody there! You just go in, help yourself and pay. You put your money in a box and take change if you need it.  I wish there would be more trust like that in the world nowadays but it makes me very happy that we still have places like that around us. Check it out willowmarshfarm.com!

There is nothing better than the sunny day outside:)

Glad to see that fancy new cross bike getting used, even if a few months too late ;-)

You guys should come ride with me down here -- snow free and lots of people to ride with!

I would love to ride with you guys. Aleks left me for warmer climate so I'm looking for some riding partners.

If you ever want to pack a MTB on your way to work and hit an evening ride on the Schodack snowmobile trails, drop me a line. Had good rides the last two nights, but things look too warm the next couple of days. I'm off to Maine skiing for the long weekend, but maybe thereafter once the temps drop and the snow firms back up.
Keep enjoying the off-season training!
